Nope...can't think of the song. Love the image, really good design and execution.

Sorry, can't get it but I love the image!

Lovely subtle drawing Jenny, I’m hopeless on songs anyway so also no idea!

Lovely image, not sure of the song.

Great illustration Jenny but you goy me beat on the song!!

Great image Jenny, 'lilac Wine' comes to mind but not sure the cards fit 😊

I could wait until someone gets it right and then say that I knew it all along but that would be cheating! It's a beautiful drawing Jenny.

Difficult Jenny .....we may need a clue! Lilac wine is a good suggestion... Beautiful illustration .

Beautifully painted Jenny but haven’t a clue as to what the song is.

This is superb Jenny. Loving the colours.

Thanks for all the lovely comments! The lyrics are very obscure so it was difficult choosing images. It was the debut single of a British rock band in the 60s and went to no. 1 in the charts, staying there for six weeks. Apparently one of the best selling singles of all time. Hope that’s enough of a clue!

I still have no idea Jenny! Lol. Beatles?

No, not the Beatles, try this - ‘And so it was that later as the miller told his tale...........’

Your clue helped.. ' A whiter shade of pale'. One of my favourites and I'll add that I was very young. Procal Harem (not sure of the spelling!)

I know what it is now. As often happens in pop and rock, brilliant music tracks are ruined by rubbish lyrics. This was the case here for me. I think it was David Bowie who once used lyrics from a copy of Yellow Pages.

Louise, yes, it is A Whiter Shade of Pale. Agree, Jim, that the lyrics are nonsensical, but they probably only added to its appeal at the time - after all the 60s were the era of hippies and psychedelic art!

Brings back memories Jenny!

Very God Jenny. Am racking my brain....... Cards and wine......not yet !

Thanks, Richard. (The playing cards and drinks do feature in the lyrics, but are a bit of a red herring!)

I would never have guessed this Jenny, and not for your lack of skill but my own ignorance of the lyrics. I’m familiar with the song and like it very much.

Yes, it’s difficult to illustrate some songs - wanted to have a go at this as it’s such a favourite, but the playing cards and tray of drinks, although in the lyrics, we’re probably a bit misleading. It’s an interesting challenge, though, and still has some way to run - we’re not quite out of October yet!

Beautiful work In it's own Jenny

Thanks, Dennis!

(Depict a favourite song). My last attempt at this challenge - this is my absolute all time favourite, but really hard to illustrate. Hope someone gets it!
