Monochrome painting inspired by my daily walk by the river where I often see a Little Egret, lovely elegant little birds. This design is meant for a linocut, but thought I’d paint it first as I often find the printed version of a linocut can look different to what I’d expected from my initial design. Made quite a few changes in doing this, so glad I painted it first!
