Very nicely painted Jenny. lovely colours

Thank goodness for those traditional tastes as well Jenny, you have an interesting style, almost illustrative and it works well for you. As for painting the same scene well why not, many famous artist's also did, Monet for instance and you can always see something new each time.

Thank you so much John, David, Dennis and Alan for your kind comments, they are much appreciated (and thank you Alan for your comment about my style - I do prefer to work in an illustrative way and was out of my comfort zone a bit with this one, I usually start off with a line drawing.)

Still a lovely scene Jenny, always comes out different, good painting.

Thanks very much Carole, this will probably be my last of this particular scene, it very nearly ended up in the bin a couple of times!

Love how the lower left hand branch is pointing the way towards the path....and who know's what kind of surprises around the bend. A lovely delicate watercolour Jenny.

Thanks, Fiona - yes, that lower branch really helps the composition, but it's exactly how it is, I haven't changed it at all.

(Surprising how many people still have very traditional tastes and prefer paintings of familiar places, when there are often much more interesting works on offer!)
