On Lady's Tower Beach, cloudy day. En plein air
Another plein air painting from earlier this year. The Lady's Tower makes a great subject with the rock formations that surround it on the headland at Elie, East Neuk of Fife, from all vantage points. This time I got down on the rocky beach to the northeast, and that's the Bass Rock in the background. A cloudy day, but I like this kind of atmosphere if the subject has good shapes, etc. Plenty of challenges here, but the humidity that often accompanies this weather helps a bit with the paper I use.
