Hi, and thank you very much for your generous comments. Re. the confidence in technique - one often doesn't feel confident, mind, but when it comes off the 'bold' approach (applying thick colour first time) does help give this effect. The majority of my painting efforts simply don't come off.

I think your work is superb Jem! Just had a look through your gallery and I'm very impressed. You capture atmospheres perfectly in a loose and vibrant but realistic way - lively - excellent!
