This song was written by Paul McCartney in 1968 and appeared on the Beatles album, ‘Help’. The song is a love ballad describing falling in love at first sight hook, line and sinker, and the young man is unable to get her face out of his mind day and night. As the chorus say, ‘fallin’, Fallin, and she keeps calling me back’. It may have been written about Paul’s first feelings for Jane Asher as the song was written whilst Paul was lodging at her family’s home, 57 Wimpole Street in Central London - but we don’t know that for a fact!

This is Cool! Excellent, Spencer.

Super picture Spencer, well done.

Love how you have been so innovative with this Spencer. So serene.

A superb visual description Spencer. Yes and the song We Can Work It Out was the beginning of the end of Paul’s relationship with Jane Asher.

Help came out in 1965 Spencer, and the song was written by Paul a little before then.

Thanks you all for your great comments Skylar, Stephen, Carol and John. Much appreciated. Thanks John for the additional information, I hadn’t come across that. You must be a Beatles fan as well!

I’ve checked my facts and did a typographical error and wrote 1968 instead of 1965 - apologies! I can’t read my own writing!

I love the journey you are taking us on, Spencer. Another great picture. I have to confess I was always and still am a Stones fan.🤣

Thank you for your great comment Tim. Much appreciated!

An excellent image and idea Spencer. I really like your song paintings.

One of my all time favourite songs! Lovely interpretation of the lyrics

Another great interpretation Spencer of another Beatle oldie.

I like this, the falling man is so well done, and it's always great to get the back-story on these songs.

Fabulous depiction of this lovely song.

Splendid Spencer.

Every picture tells a story. Very well told Spencer.

Another great addition to this terrific series of paintings Spencer

A lovely interpretation of the song, Spencer though not familiar with it!

Great image, particularly the falling man. Not a song I know by its title , I’ll have to search for it.

So cleverly done Spencer- superb

I echo all the comments here Spencer. Fabulous interpretation of the song.

This Beatles song, written and performed by Paul McCartney describes a young man totally, physically and mentally, falling in love at first sight, unable to get this girls face out of his mind day or night. See above for further details.
