I like the solidity of the castle and the range of colours in the foreground and some repeated in the castle itself. Impressive painting.

Watercolour with some wax resist. Not such a good photo of the painting, it's softer than this, but I couldn't get a better version.

Many moons ago I completed an Art Foundation, and have attended art classes and workshops along the way, but basically I'm self-taught. I prefer to work in watercolour - I enjoy being expressive with colour and line, and experimenting with mixed media.
