Mum at piano by Harriett Alice Richardson
(stuff also added as quote under painting). Mum practising. I think it was Chopin, I ran in and interrputed her but she didnt mind just tried to keep practise the difficult bit. I thought this would be interesting for people because normally piano stuff is people on stage rather than at home practising in a pair of jeans. Memories of Mum playing are of the mirrors next to the pianos so she could check posture and stuff. Piano room was long mirrors and the smell of wood. I dont like doing all the detail for black keys so I just do blobs. Same with the bits under the lid :) Dont know why the stand is up as shes playing from memory. I think it was in case she maybe needed to put themusic up to check something. Me and Dad like this one. Its on the wall in the front room xx
