Yes/No/Maybe by Harriett Alice Richardson
How girls food shop :) This painting is super-simple as it is meant to be like the very quick thoughts when in the supermarket. The image is three sets of nutrition information labels. For lots of girls, what the food is doesnt matter. The calorie content is more important. What the numbers say doesnt even matter (to begin with), thi is why I havent added any text but just shaded. First thoughts are all just about colour. If its all green, its safe. If theres a red box (even just one), it isnt safe. If there are orange boxes and no red, its a maybe. The top one is darkest as good food isnt really noticed. All the bad food is more obvious. This is why I made the red very bright. In all the empty shaded areas, all the brushstrokes point to the red box, as this is where all the focus is when shopping. Compared to my other work this probably looks really basic, but I like it :)) xx
