Adult has conversation with teenager by Harriett Alice Richardson
Ugh. All on repeat. And its not even a conversation. It sometime start as a conversation, but this is how it always ends up. You never just talk to us about what were doing. And if you do, its treated as stupid. 'Oh, thats nice Harriett. So, what do you want to do when your older?'. Ugh. Thats like me saying to you 'Oh, thats nice. An even bigger house and more stuff you dont need. How cute. So do you know what kind of wood you want for your coffin?'. Dad says children live inthe present tense, and adults in the future tense. He says teenage years is the change from present tense to future tense. Hes like future tense, but not too much. Im like so, future + future = past cos youll be dead? Maths really is stupid xx
