Yip heres the rest of what I was going to write - Anyway, I showed my Dad it, and he was like OK you win, and we had arranged if I won that it would be a DP shopping spree :) He said no way was he going there for a day though, so I could go myself and have a day out ;) He also gave me some extra money for lunch. (buys extra pair of tights). This painting was on the wall for about a month as we both liked it, but then I was super hangry one day and painted over it with a set of weighing scales xx

PS theres a wardrobe next to the door, in case youre wondering what the shadow is xx

A slightly open door, full of mystery Harriett!

Good effort. Well done with a hint of the unusual.

A happy door....very nicely painted. Why not keep this one Harriet? . I bet it would look really good with a simple frame .

We kept it for a while but then I painted over over it with a set of weighing scales. I'll try to find that image and upload it later. And maybe also a Disney image I painted. xx

Great door, it makes you want to walk through it to find out where it leads. Well done Harriett.

:)) Gone for coffee :)) xx brb 2m means be right back 2 minutes, like when you are chatting online but you need to go get a coffee or something. I thought this was a good subject with the door left open to show im away for a coffee :)) I spent forever on this one. Dad was teasing me about maths and saying about perspective that you need it for it, so I said to him maybe not if you just look for long enough and pay attention. He bet me that I couldnt do it. I spent forever drawing this one first, then about a double forever shading it and colouring it. Colouring it took the longest, as I wanted it to be super realistic, but also very warm and intimate, to show a really happy evening. There is a lamp on in the hall, and I tried to capture this with the light through the door. I think it worked well. When I was young I seen a painting that did this. I think it was maybe a christmas scene (text continued below as i ran out of room here)

I'm Harriett. I'm 16 now. I was 14 when I started posting here on this website :)) I'm rubbish at art, but i enjoy it and my dad also likes my paintings. His friend also like them, but his friend doesnt do art, just reads art magazines and wears cord trousers and a bowtie and likes to talk about…
