I'm always on the lookout for flowers to paint, and found this little gem in my parents garden, mainly for its colours of purple, blue and pink shades, so I had to paint it. Took me 8 weeks to paint on and off, using Griffin Alkyd fast drying oil as I wasn't in a hurry as much as the paint was. A medium I love to use, but be warned don't leave your brushes wet with paint, wash them asap.
