Lovely portrait Frank. I like the absence of the mask which makes the portrait much more personable. Particularly like the smile and freckles.

Thanks all for commenting, i was given several photos of this young lady to paint and I think that smile in this one influenced my decision 😊.

My 4th portrait for NHS Heroes. This is Katherine who is deputy ward sister in ward 3 at our local hospital (St Lukes) here in Market Harborough. I’ve loved every minute of all the hours working on this one, but found out that painting letters anything like neatly is way harder than it looks! Oil on 6mm MDF board 30x40cms.
