Very fine work, Frank. It's a subject I find interesting too, these steam punk fans make for a fascinating subject. Like you, I've just started experimenting with gouache...but not nearly as well as you. I'd thought it would be much the same as watercolour, but the subtle difference is eluding me at the moment.
