A Lonely Gnome
I am just a lonely gnome Sitting in my garden home, Perched here with my rod in hand Never, ever a fish to land Watching people passing by It really makes me want to cry If I could only walk like them too Instead of being stuck here like glue I'd find a pub near here And buy myself a pint of beer In a nearby lake, I'd catch a fish To make myself a tasty dish But alas, I’m still stuck here No water, fish or beer No comfort, like a nice warm bed Just a robin to dob on my head!
