Well of course, it’s becoming your trademark now Carole. Those berries look translucent.

Excellent painting Carole, would not be a genuine Swingler without the gold .

Lovely berries,decaying leaves add interest,

I like how you have chose to do the leaves, lovely.

Thank you all, lovely to hear your views and comments.

Beautiful- lovely how the colours blend together in the left hand leaf.

Terrific illustration.

Lovely carole very you and your touch of gold ✨ 💛

Fantastic as usual, Carole. Love your work!

Sarah, Chris, Faye and Mia thank you for your kind comments :)

Lovely painting Carole, colour choices make those leaves look very poisonous,

Thanks Lesley yes they do look sinister.

It’s a beautiful plant with lovely shaped leaves and the bonus of berries but as you say, a little on the naughty side. Love the way you have depicted the fading and dying leaves Carole.

A very good painting Carole.

Another lovely painting Carole AND I have learned something. Looking in hedgerows which I do almost daily I ve always assumed the red berries were nightshade amongst the Briony . Thank you for my botany lesson.

This is lovely Carole

Very kind of you all 😊. Yes it’s as well to be aware of some of these plants! I’ve pulled a lot up from beneath my hedge! They look pretty but deadly! Nightshade are black berries Sylvia or very dark blue black I think.

Fabulous, so sad these plants are so toxic and even brushing them across your skin causes a rash (I know!)

Honestly I never knew that Heather! I know there are so many with poisonous sap that causes eczema and blisters when exposed to sun…. Thanks Heather.

Lovely composition, Carole, delicately done.

Love the sumptuous curves on this and those juicy looking berries Carole.

Well knock me down with a feather ,cut me throat and hope to die. I have gone all my long life mis naming them . Thanks for the botany lesson.

You are certainly extremely good at these paintings and again this is so realistic. Like you I didn't know merely brushing against these will cause rash.

Thank you very much again :). Who knows what’s lurking in the hedgerows 😈🤢

Just perfect Carole.

Lovely work Carole

Thank you Maureen, Gudrun, Val and Shaun much appreciated.

Thank you Romila very kind.

A relaxed, free-form artwork. Very nice.

Little watercolour study of this pretty gem-like but very poisonous creeping plant. A touch of gold of course :)
