Alan's L.P. Demo

Alan's L.P. Demo

Love your artwork Fiona as you know, and this is no exception, beautiful.

you made a very nice painting Fiona fresh as a daisy as a water colour should be.

Or even a line and wash should be lol

Nice work Fiona, you have put your own stamp on this, from Alan's demo. You have introduced a wild, windy atmosphere into it, perhaps your knowledge of the Scottish landscape?

Lovely sky Fiona.

As Stephen said, this painting has got your own stamp on it Fiona. Beautiful sky and an overall clean and crisp atmosphere. Early spring perhaps?

I can't see anything wrong with your perspective. Mind you I'm no expert. Your light washes are great. Something I struggle with. The contrast with the ink works brilliantly too. Thanks for joining me on my cruise.LOL

Very nice Fiona! I like the pen work, not overdone in my opinion.

Many thanks everyone for your comments. They are, as always, very much appreciated.

I haven't visited the site in ages but when I do I find a Fiona P ! Lovely to see and such an atmospheric painting. Well done.

I've only been on very infrequently recently so I've missed such a lot. I like the bright fresh airiness about this on Fiona and your palette, especially in the sky.

This is just perfect, Fiona. Very strong and dramatic atmosphere. I like it very much!

Hi Lionel, lovely to hear from you, and thank you. Thanks Val, lovely to hear from you too....hope you're back to stay for a while. Many thanks Mia, not a patch on your own pen & wash studies.

Hang on Studio Wall

You know I'm a huge fan of Alan Owen's, so couldn't pass up on his latest pen & wash demo in the Leisure Painter. As usual my perspectives are atrocious and maybe I've been a little heavy handed with the ink....again! Thank you Alan. Jackson's rough paper and old Holland paints; U. marine, L. red, P. grey, R. sienna, B. umber. Indian ink.
