Beautifully crisp winters day Fiona!

Yet another beauty Fiona -and so recognisable as one of yours.

Really great Fiona! I wish I had a painting room, lol.

What a lovely quick painting Fiona!

The immediacy is evident in the brush strokes but you've achieved a calmness too. Nice palette.

I love those lines leading the viewer in. Another wonderful sky

Thank you very much Satu, we are having far too many this winter ! Bless you Carol, thank you. Lol thanks Margaret..... I can’t make myself call it a studio, it doubles up as a utility...lol! My favourite kind to do Marjorie......thank you! Many thanks Willie. Diana, thank you very much.

I like the style and choice of colours, looks cold out there.

Only MINUTES! Gadzooks! What is the art world coming to? *smile* Classy painting for such a quick and spontaneous response to the changing conditions. In the moment and spot on. The rooks add to the atmosphere and they're perfectly located above the trees. Very nice, Fiona. Brian

Yes, another beauty Fiona. Great result with only those three colours, and the foreground leading into the painting.

Love the elements in your work..am actually transported to your landscape with the same immediacy such as your brushstrokes.. lovely!

Yes you have caught the wild conditions well, no snow here today but very cold. Still off to the Canaries in a couple of weeks. Might not come back, I can always post on pol from there!

So simple, so effective. Less is more.

Annick it has been cold.....thank you. Brian okay, I slaved over this for hours....lol No really, there can’t be any more than a dozen brush strokes, thank you for you kind comment. Many thanks Sandra!

Thank you very much Nandhini, you are very kind. Lol...that’s it Stephen rub it in! I hope you will think of us all here in the uk....freezing, whilst you enjoy the sunshine? Nope! Make sure you post plenty of sunny paintings. Thank you. Thanks very much Jim x

Sometimes less is more... you have much talent.

Lovely .loose work. I especially like the divergent, foreground lines Fiona.

Works well - like the colours

Really like this one Fiona for it's colour and bold brush work.

The kind of weather that looks beautiful from the window but you wouldn’t want to be out in it. Lovely watercolour very atmospheric.

I've always liked your quickies Fiona, as you well know... Keeping it simple is the key. Good lead in to the gate posts.

Atmospheric painting of what looks like a lovely view from your painting room. What a shame there wasn't a derelict toilet block somewhere. (Sorry I won't mention them again...........well not today !!)

This is brilliant Fiona, amazing what you can do in minutes 😃

Beautifully stated Fiona demonstrates the pure beauty of watercolour

Nicely done Fiona. You get them just right, and with talented speed too.

Great!

You’re very generous David, thank you....and yes sometimes it’s what you don’t say in your art that has the most impact. Carole, Maureen,Louise, Janet....thank you ladies for your lovely feedback. Janet, we are likely to be getting snow fall all day tomorrow......Another day for looking out of the window!

Why thank you Alan.....you say the nicest things! Lol I think we can complicate things far too much sometimes. X Lol....not a toilet block in sight Tony, but just so you don’t get withdrawals, I thought I might do a pen and wash of your favourite WC. Thank you very much. Linda, Dermot, Gudrun, Michael, Timothy....many thanks for your much appreciated comments.

Good quick paintiong, Fiona.

Only a small watercolour which just took minutes to do. Three colours, p.grey, r. Umber and Venetian red on Arches. View from my painting room which faces south west, one late afternoon/evening last week during snow showers, the sky turned this strange colour.......the Rooks didn’t like the look of it either.
