great stuff Fiona

Lovely painting, Fiona - very impressive that you painted this from memory!

Beautifully dragged up Fiona

Super little piece out of the imagination. All because you have increased your observation skills Fiona. And that what it’s all about for all us artist. Thank you for your support over the year it has been appreciated.

Lovely work Fiona in your signature colours. It's always good to have a scene to fall back on .

Thanks Peter! Many thanks Jan, I think it’s because it’s so familiar. From the depths Dennis.....thank you. I think you could be on to something there John, it isn’t about looking, it’s about seeing, I suppose. Thank you very much.

Yes thank goodness for familiarity Carole.....thanks very much.

Hellooo Fiona, I've been away from here for some months and yours was the first name I typed in to see what you've been up to! I love this - did it help you to be more free when you chose a big size? And, hey, many congratulations on your recent win in the Van Gogh competition!! Well deserved.

I love this Fiona. Apologies for the lack of comments lately I hope to be back in full interaction by the end of the month.

As you know Fiona I don’t like snow scenes !!! This is lovely excellent sky, background hills and foreground detail, I really like it.

Super snow scene Fiona, in your lovely individual style.

Your watercolours never fail to impress me Fiona and this one is particularly attractive. It really shows how beautiful your surroundings are. Happy Christmas to you.

A beautiful painting Fiona,

Sandra, Dennis, Cesare, Ibolya....thank you very much!

Hellloooo Caroline! Your absense was noticed but I’m glad to see you posting again, and with such a splendid piece. It’s also good to see you are still doing plein air work, you’re good at it. I find it easier to paint loose the bigger I work but I don’t really go any larger than 24” x 16” -ish. This size is the standard watercolour block I paint on. Thank you, I still can’t believe I got anywhere, there was some incredible work put forward. Hope you’re going to stick around Caroline, looking forward to seeing what you’ve been up to!

Good grief Diana apologies are certainly not necessary, you’ve been ill. It’s good to have you back and posting your fabulous art. Thank you for your comment, much appreciated.

Thank you Barry, I appreciate your comment even more, as you don’t care for snow scenes...lol! Thanks Jenny very much. Carol, thank you very much. I wonder if you can make space for it? A birthday card perhap....lol Thank you very much David! X

A lovely painting Fiona!

Fiona this is a lovely watercolour Iwish Icould paint as well as you do.Have a lovely christmas. happy painting.

Thank you Margaret! Thank you very much Chris you are very kind. I’m sure you will see if you compare your watercolours of just 6 months ago, how much your confidence and application has changed. You are putting your washes down looser and you are improving with every one. If you look at mine, that I did in 2011, they are dreadful! Merry Christmas to you and lots of inspiration and happy painting in 2018!

This is so soft and delicate and cold! Lovely, Fiona

Thank you very much ladies!

16”x14” watercolour. I need some watercolour practice and without anything in particular to paint.....I can always bring this view from the subconscious. I think I could do it with my eyes closed I’ve painted it so many times, perhaps seeing it every day imprints it in the grey matter. We don’t have any snow on the hills at the moment, dragged the image up from how it looked a couple of weeks ago.
