Reminds me of Aubrey Philips I think k his name is , he paints lovely simple loose watercolours I don't know if you seen his work . yours is gorgeous Fiona well done.

Another lovely watercolour Fiona

Great creation of space lovely work Fiona

Thank you David, yes it's from my kitchen window, I tend to bore everyone with views from the windows when it's too cold to go out to paint!lol

I do know of Aubrey Phillips Dennis, I love his loose painting style especially his skies......thank you. Thank you very much Petra and Dennis for your kind comments.

such skill in these simple works of yours - quite inspirational Fiona

Well this is great... You know what I might just do a few watercolour.... I'm just not subtle enough buy hey let's have ago. Lovely lose style..

You're very kind Michael thank you. I didn't post it when I first did it because I thought it was flat and lifeless, that's why I did the pen & wash version. I like that much better!lol I'm struggling to paint anything at the moment. Go on give watercolours a go Alan, I look forward to seeing the results. Thank you very much for your comment.

Nice and loose Fiona, your trees are getting better all the time. If you could continue the path tracks vaguely toward the barns it would make it even better.

Such a loose touch and handling, smashing

Lovely watercolour, Fiona.

As I scroll thought he gallery, your work always makes me stop for a better look Diana

Wish I had the confidence to paint loose watercolours like this. I like everything about it. Your so fortunate to have view from your window to paint whatever the weather. Lovely work Fiona.

wow Fiona, this is gorgeous :)

The eye is gently drawn down the track to the barns. A lovely scene Fiona! What a great view you have and all that space :)

Beautiful little piece Fiona

A little gem Fiona, so confident and well handled, and yes, it is a view that I am now very familiar with, but an amazing vista.

A lovely loose watercolour. I like it a lot and a great view to have from your window. I am inspired to do more watercolour!

Stephen, Derek, Cesare thank you very much for your lovely comments.....much appreciated. Thank you Diana, that's a lovely thing to say. Andre you do 'loose' brilliantly with your oils and acrylics, take a deep breath and go for it!!lol Thank you very much. Many thanks Maria, Dermot, Sarah, for you comments.

Is that 'familiar' or 'bored' Alan...lol? Thank you very much for your lovely comment. Thanks very much Janet, appreciate you taking the time to comment.

I like this Fiona especially the brush marks on the trees.

So peaceful and lovely, Fiona.

Many thanks Carole and Satu!

Hi Fiona, I've just had another look at your "1st" version and though i like your washes in this and it's a lovely painting in it's own right I do prefer your other one. All the lively pen work gives it so much life, this seems quieter somehow.

This is lovely Fiona (although I also prefer the pen and wash version).

Me too girls....I much prefer the pen & wash version, I didn't like this one at all.

A super piece, beautiful in immediacy, full of life. You're really fabulous with these watercolor landscapes, Fiona!

Many thanks Seok, much appreciated. Happy New Year for Monday!!

Lovely muted colours and the composition invites you towards those barns ....

Thanks very much Gudrun.
