Nice lively sketch - lots of life.

It is quite effective Fiona. Lot of freedom in this hurried sketch. Good for you giving it a go !

But hasn’t it worked Fiona.

Lol....thanks very much Margaret and Richard, for humouring me....lol. The black scribbly marks are meant to be rooks but it was a bit difficult to do little dots with my finger.

Wow i never think to use the app on my phone. 🤔 i may now start this is really effective, i always have my phone on me, its permanently glued to my hand, but i dont always have my art materials. Thank you for showng us all this and how good it is.

Sylvia thank you. I’d never thought of using my phone before but I was so frustrated I didn’t have anything to draw on! I could have taken a photo but it would have been boring and too easy. I think I will use this means again, it certainly encourages keeping things loose. You are very kind Jennifer, thank you. Yes I think I may be using this method again.

That's clever Fiona, I'm hopeless with the sketch app on my phone. It turned out well though.

I can’t believe you’ve done this on an iPhone 📱! Are you going to follow up with a painting?

Just a few marks but they capture the essence of the scene Fiona

Keep it going Fiona. Every mark counts.

Many thanks for your lovely comments!

Might be the quickest sketch but it conveys the scene so well Fiona.

Thank you Val!

This has to be the quickest sketch I’ve ever done! Driving up the single track road from the lighthouse at the Mull of Galloway I saw these rooks diving and swirling onto the field that had just been cut for silage. It was a fabulous sight, the telegraph wires where stretched by the weight of them. Didn’t have any art things in the car so used the drawing facility on my phone, from the passing place. It’s very rough, I was in a hurry there was a car coming.....
