Well the yellow works very nicely on this one, ,the sky is gorgeous.

Beautiful with Indian yellow Fiona

I don't think that there is any part of this that I don't like, it really is a cracker Fiona, from the distant hills to the rather delightful overlaid washes in the foreground, and not forgetting the two well placed boats which you have brilliantly sketched in with a dark colour, well done.

Beatiful Fiona

I agree with Alan, veri well painted Fiona, and with great spontaneity I suppose.

Nice color combination

Thank you ever so much everyone, really appreciate your comments. I wasn't too sure about the colour, think I will try it out a few times before passing judgment.

Alan sums it up well - those foreground washes are pure delight.

I like the new colour Fiona, works well

A really lovely painting Fiona! Fantastic treatment of the water and the sky. Indian yellow is a difficult colour because it&#39;s so near to pale orange and easily becomes dirty ( my opinion only) but you have used it beautifully. Well done!<br />

Lovely fluid work , what a splendid sky ...... Never tried this yellow on my list :)

Beautiful and gorgeous Fiona, love the colours :)

Lovely, clean piece, Fiona, with beautiful merging of washes and a lovely atmosphere.

You&#39;ve handled that yellow expertly Fiona. I&#39;ve never been sure of it in watercolour but you&#39;ve made it work perfectly here for you. I really like that left hand foreground too.

Love indian yellow Fiona. I like you marks here, they echo the yachts perfectly.

The yellow is a very successful addition Fiona. Somehow, it&#39;s got that wintry feel.

Many thanks everyone for your kind comments.

So beautiful Fiona.

Thank you very much Tanusree.

Love your choice of colours, yet another excellent piece if artwork

14"x10" Arches. It's a bit bright.....I'm trying out a new colour, Indian yellow. I have it in oil and like it very much so I thought I would try the watercolour version. Makes very nice greens too.
