It's beautiful Fiona and a totally different subject for you. There's a discussion on the Forum at the moment about how we can recognise people's style. I wouldn't have recognised this as one of yours but it's good to try something different.

A good attempt Fiona, these sailing craft are not easy to get right and you have done a splendid job. In particular, I do like the sky and sea almost merging with no hard horizon, just the other small craft nicely placed to suggest it. Not very red on my screen!

Thank you Carole, Dennis, Derek appreciate you taking a look and leaving your comments. Thanks Christine, I don't know if I have a particular style really, it seems to change depending on the subject and the medium. I would like to be a little more predictable...perhaps that will come.

Thank you Alan, I would like to see a version of this done by yourself.......if you have the time of course! This was done from a photo really, and I can feel the difference in results, I'm not keen on painting from photo's, they never turn out the same as painting on the spot. No the colour isn't quite like it is in the flesh, the figures on the boat are wearing yellow jackets and that doesn't show on here either. I should re-title it......'brown-ish sails'!Lol.

Yes Fiona, I'll do a quick sketch tomorrow before breakfast and email it to you, I have got a busy day planned. I won't put it on the site I don't think! Maybe. I can't get on with those dip-in pens, they run out before I can draw a decent line, I will use my rigger brush and ink. Alan
