Have enjoyed ' hangin in there' , variety is sometimes a good way of finding out what you dislike, and without that passion for what you're doing, it's always going to be difficult to make it work.nevertheless it's worked out well and very interesting, still can't spot the kitchen sink though.

You have revitalised the place Fiona. Looks like a hippy communion now. Hope it’s not damp for them.

Don’t bin it Fiona crop sections to find new compositions

Thank you Andre, I think I’ve discovered that I don’t like doing collage. In the right hands collage pieces are wonderful but not mine. It will be answers on a postcard for the location of the kitchen sink...lol Thanks for hanging in in!

I think it will be very damp John, and cold! Sorry, you can’t talk me out of it...it’s going in the bin!lol Thank you very much for your encouragement through this project...only one more blue doors piece...yippee!

Fiona there are many great abstract compositions there the doors contain some exceptional ideas I love it brilliant

Penultimate ? Keep these doors coming !🤣

Nevertheless Fiona, it is interesting and you did it. Some parts are really nice such as bottom left and right corner. Possibly the whites which I'm guessing is oil pastel is a little too much but your enthusiasm for the subject is all there. Good for you for trying something so different. Art should be exciting and interesting to look at which your work is.

Fiona, I love the pretty foreground - why don't you keep that and build it into a colourful still life collage!

I don't know why you dislike it Fiona, I think it oozes character.😊

Well I can't wait for the last one! I mean that in the nicest possible way Fiona!!!!!

Well you had fun doing it Fiona . Im also trying to discover the Kitchen Sink..

Dennis, you are very welcome to help yourself to any, or all of it...lo. Thank you for your encouragement. Yes at last Richard, I’m coming to the end....hoorah! Thank you. Yes Louise I had to give it a go. I haven’t done a collage before and didn’t really know what I was doing. The white areas are where I have smeared on white acrylic paint then laid pieces of newspaper over it, allowed it to dry for a minute or so then peeled it off. The paper come away but leaves the print. I’ve tried everything on it to create texture....lol well nearly everything. Thanks for your supportive comments and feedback, I’m learning.

Jenny, NO.....lol! Thank you Jenny for your encouragement, appreciate it. I’ll swap you Linda......one characterful collage for a penguin Christmas card? Lol 😂

Margaret, neither can I! And I mean that in the worst possible way......😉 thank you very much. Fun and irritation Sylvia. Fun making a mess but irritation wondering where to stick the bits! I’ve done too much to it, certainly a case for less might have better than too much. Keep looking! Lol Thanks very much.

Fiona, I am really enjoying your abstract blue doors series. In fact, one of your previous paintings inspired me to try another abstract (not a copy of yours, yours was the inspiration). If mine turns out at all I'll put it up on POL, with an acknowledgement to you!

The way you've layered the colours is great Fiona.

So this is where you live Fiona. It's actually got some good character in it, this is a decent collage but I suspect that you have 'burnt yourself out' with this project, but you are nearly at the end so keep going a while longer.

Another great doorway, always interesting Fiona. I like this collage.

Sandra, that’s what is so good about this wonderful site, we give and take inspiration from each other and it keeps us keen. Even if you’re not entirely satisfied with the result, you should post it anyway. We will all see something in it that you perhaps don’t. Thank you very much for your comment.

Thank you very much Michael! Lol Alan......I live next door! This is much smarter than my old hovel! Nearly there Al! Thanks very much for your continued support and bullying! Lol you help me a great deal. Thanks very much Carole.

Alan is very cheeky suggesting you live here! Fab result

Thanks Gudrun!

24” x 16” collage on sugar paper. This has had everything thrown at it, Quink ink, Indian ink, printers ink, oil, torn paper, news paper brown paper, oil pastel....and kitchen sink! Out of all the development studies, this is the one I dislike the most, in fact at the end of this term it will be going straight into the recycling bin! Thanks everyone for hanging in there! Lol
