They like to wander Fiona - getting good with the old pastels!

You make this look easy Fiona

I must add, I take no credit at all for the palette, composition or anything else for that matter. It's totally a 'Dennis' except, I did it with pastels....lol Thanks Adele & Peter for your comments.

Well done Fiona, some good colours in this one.

Astonishingly good Fiona. Your multi-colour palette-work is always splendid. We were only saying this morning at the art class that there isn't such a thing as 'original'. There's always something of someone else in what we do. Keep them coming.

Fiona gold star effort if I half close my eyes can see you have captured the mood and light perfectly your pastel work is coming on beautifully I'm dancing in a ham fisted way with excitement

Many thanks gentlemen. Dennis has done the hard part, I've just copied his impression. X

Your pastel style is great Fiona, very loose and expressive and definitely "you". And I love these belties, got some photos and they are on the agenda!

Full of verve and rural colour and executed with convincing panache.

Oh this is nice Fiona, a lovely scene. I can see your pastel work improving all the time. Well done.

Wonderful Fiona this is beautiful , we all take from other paintings including me , you've made this your own its gorgeous and original.

So glad you like it Dennis, thank you again for giving me the opportunity to have a go, I really enjoyed doing it.

Can't wait to see your Belties Marjorie, thank you. Many thanks Willie, very kind. Thanks Margaret, you wouldn't see the improvement in the one I've just finished, it's dreadful! It's got two elements in it I don't paint.....and I can see why, boats and buildings.

Your stuff always comes bounding out at me Fiona. Exceptional.

I love this, Fiona. The marks are wonderful.

Great loose style and the BGs are a great touch - by the way they seem to be everywhere these days.

Super piece Fiona. You're getting better all the time. Well done.

Lovely work Fiona beautiful warm foreground colours and excellent composition .. Another beauty

You are certainly getting to grips with the pastels Fiona....this is super!

Really like this and the colour Fiona, you gave achieved the distance brilliantly.

I like the pastel shades you've used in the foreground Fiona ( no pun intended :) ) and your Belted Galloways add interest and life.

The pastel works very well, Fiona, beautiful colours.

Thanks very much Sylvia really appreciate your comment. Many thanks Shirley, Henry, Dermot Sylvia, Carole and Michael.......Michael it's good to know they are spreading far and wide, I think they were on the red list of rare breeds at one point.

Thanks Val and Cesare very much!

What can I add that has not been said already.......I love it

Your pastels are improving rapidly Fiona, I like the landscape, cows and lower sky not so much by the scribbly upper Sky.

Thank you very much Donna! Many thanks Stephen, my husband doesn't like that part of the sky either!lol

The belties are just anchored and imbedded in the landscape. Like it.

Thanks very much Gudrun.

Pastel on sugar paper.....thank you for your generosity Dennis, letting me have a go at one of your paintings. I haven't managed to get your special touch with light but I did manage a few fairly convincing meadow ladies, first ones I've ever done! You will notice that a couple of them are Galloway Belties, what they are doing in your neck of the woods I don't know...lol
