Play play and play Fiona and you conjure magic

Looks like You're having fun Fiona, Lovely colour :)

I like your sense of adventure Fiona! Yet something else to try :)

Yet more highly creative 'stuff' from over the border, Interesting indeed.

This is good Fiona, great drawing of car mascot.

This works so well and gives a glass impression too. Trying stuff, you are the master Fiona

Always something differnt, good for you.

Great to see your mono printing experiments Fiona, it's good to try different mediums isn't it, collage next perhaps?

Hair streaming in the wind...Oh wow!

I like it what is it you do to get it

Lol! You are a wonderful lot, and generous. Thank you all so much for encouraging my fits of sillyness! Christine, it's collage next, I saved your aticle for when I try it!

Thank you Dennis. It isn&#39;t very technical in fact at the moment due to lack of &#39;proper&#39; equipment I&#39;m just winging it. <br />I use a sheet of glass that I lay paint on, in this case a layer of watered down a acrylic paint, it doesnt want to be too thin.....you&#39;ve got to be able to see an impression when you draw in to it. If I had a roller to apply the paint to the glass I would use that but I used a large soft haired brush to lay it down. Then quite quickly use a tool of some kind that will move the paint as you draw with it. Again, I&#39;m just using what I can find, this was done with the rubber tip of my eye liner pencil (not that you would have one of these laying around Dennis) that&#39;s used to blend the eye liner with. I told you it was very basic. Your looking at completing the drawing before the paint dries. Then place a sheet of paper, in this case ordinary printer paper over the top and gently rub it on the paint so it makes contact, not too hard. Then lift off and it should have taken the print. Easy, have a go! I think the knack is to get the paint the right consistency and not to let it dry out.

Looks like you had fun with this, good experiment Fiona

I did Lisa, thank you.

Keep experimenting Fiona, this looks like fun. I&#39;ve tried lino cuts but not mono printing.

I have to try new things I get bored if I don&#39;t.....lino cuts are next, I&#39;m waiting for the kit!!lol

Really nice one, Fiona! Such a painterly piece, well done! If you want to use acrylics and find they dry to fast, there&#39;s Golden Open Acrylics, that have a longer drying time. I use them with my Gelli plate, and find them ideal for monoprinting.

Thank you for your comment Seok and your advise Re acrylics.....I ended up watering them down a bit but without a lot of practise to get the exact thickness of paint, it&#39;s never going to be ideal. I&#39;ll keep having a go...... thanks again for taking an interest, I really do appreciate it.

Another mess about with the mono print theme, this time using acrylic. The subject is a rose coloured glass, car bonnet mascot that I have. One thing I found using acrylic rather than ink, you have to be pretty quick at drawing. Bit rough but I'm only playing.
