Collage with Tea Bags

Comments

I like this Fiona. A seascape to a "T"!

Very innovative Fiona. Quite fascinating.

We should experiment Fiona and this has great spontaneity - more please!

Blummin ‘ eck Fiona! What ends will you NOT go to! But frame it, it’s interesting to look at and cogitate on.

Ps. You’r going in the direction of Chris Ofili…..though elephant dung may be hard to find round your way😆

Amazing.. Inventive and effective.

I’m so pleased you’ve seen the fun in this silliness…..so thank you Fiona, Carole, Shaun and Marjorie. The fun aside, the stained T bags are quite strong and have a lovely shade to them. How about Haggis dung Marjorie? I’m sure I can source plenty of that!

Oopps, missed you Ross…..thank you very much.

Whatever next Fiona, but it is rather attractive. Many times have I dipped a brush in my tea- mostly by mistake, but never thought of doing this!

I know, I think I’m getting desperate! 😂 It does make a good collage addition, it takes the ink very well, so should do the same with watercolour I would think. You would have to drink a lot of tea to make a decent size!

Ha ha, and here’s me not realising the haggis exists!

I like it Fiona, lovely texture.

Inventive Fiona, sky, land, and sea. Tea bag, I will get the kettle on.

What??? Marjorie, I’ve witnessed many sightings of this timid creature whilst out in the hills. They are a wirey haired creature and to allow them to graze on the hills they have one set of legs shorter than the other. Depending on whether they graze around the hill clockwise or widdershins, they will have shorter left or right legs. I have seen the Haggs with their Hagglets roaming through the Heather……very rare and very cute.

It’s worked very well Fiona. A great piece of art.

Interesting result, Fiona.

Thank you Denise. Did you enjoy your cuppa John, thanks very much. Many thanks Spencer, very kind.

Interesting idea, I like it. I started drinking fruit teas and often thought the colour was their best feature as they all taste the same.

Yes I enjoyed my cuppa, but it was a bit weak after being dragged over the paper.

Very effective Fiona.

Fascinating, Fiona. I just love it, I also like those torn edges of the paper. This would look great in a frame.

Thanks very much Jenny! I know what you mean Andrew, the colour is the best thing about them, thank you. Coral many thanks for your lovely comment. John 😂 I bet! Thank you very much George. I like the torn edges as well Ellen……thank you.

Love this Fiona! So delicate- It’s a beautiful sunset across the sea-

Thank you very much Rachel!

What an interesting ‘Teascape’, you made me want to try this Fiona. I often think what a waste when I chuck out the teabags!

Lol…I like that…Teascape! It could catch on. Carole, they are quite nice to work on. I painted this with acrylic inks, the paper takes them very well, I was surprised. I cut down one side of the damp teabag and emptied the tea out on the garden, it sticks together and comes off the paper well. Cut down the other two sides and open up and dry flat. I used a bit of pritt stick on the edges to stick on to the Okra paper. The ones I did are only small but you could make the area as large as you want to, or just use some in collage with other Stuff. Thank you very much for your comment and interest.

Three eye-levels from the sea. A great image and successful experiment Fiona.

Thanks very much Michael……it keeps me out of mischief.

How interesting .I love it

Thank you very much Cecilia, very kind.

Small experiment with acrylic inks on dried used tea bags, collaged onto hand made Okra paper. A bit of a delicate operation!
