It’s a Blackout......(13)

Like it Fiona, it puts me in mind of a fantasy landscape with a big storm brewing or a magic storm. I’m sure others will see if differently , works for me as I love reading fantasy books and films.

The black canvas again works so well with the colours. You could look at this so many different ways, I'm interpreting it as steam pushing upwards, the abstract nature of this allows many variations of thought. Like it a lot, Fiona.

It's come out really well Fiona, I see it as another planet, probably watched too many sci fi films 😉

Very dramatic and atmospheric. Looks like there’s lightning crackling through the landscape

Love the root network, very organic. The black gives drama, also like the blue Fiona.

It does work. It is quite intimidating which is what this scene is about as far as I can tell. It's a washout here ....

Fully of drama wonderfully done Fiona

It's very impressive Fiona, apart from anything else I like the tiny hint of pinkish colour right in the middle.

Very dramatic and impressive, Fiona.

Super idea Fiona as it really looks like a mirrored landscape in the sky. Love the bold drama and imminent danger and excitement in this work.

Love this Fiona, and aren't all the different interpretations interesting. I see it as a storm on an alien planet. Very dramatic and eye catching.

This has worked really well, Fiona - full of atmosphere, and thought at first it might be a print. Love it!

I see something different again. It’s fascinating reading the variety of reactions. The painting has so much to study and explore

Wow! That’s stunning, Fiona!

Thank you very much everyone, it’s been interesting to read your reactions and interpretations. Lovely comments, thanks again. X

Very expressive Fiona!

Thanks Linda!

It has impact. I really like the bottom half best.

Such great variations in your " postings" Fiona.

Great composition and shapes - my sort of painting.

Diane, Richard, Michael very grateful for your kind feedback, thank you.

Full of drama and excitement. Just inspiring to see such a different approach. Looking forward to the next one! Well done.

Glad you like it Elaine, thank you.

16”x8” oil and wax crayon on black gesso canvas. A semi abstract variation of a couple of my favourite paintings. I wanted to mirror the landscape in the sky, not sure if it’s worked out?
