Street Life

Wow that really makes your mind start turning Fiona, the colors really work, don't know what you are suppose to be seeing but maybe traffic lights, stop or speed signs, you can really get lost in this one, crazy but still gets my, nice one.

Thanks for painting a thought-provoking work which, may I suggest, shows great maturity in your artistic endeavour.

The newsprint being absorbent has given this a really soft almost blurred look Fiona. Interesting, different and rather good!

It will keep us all occupied for ages looking at what we can find, I can see a little face at the bottom Left in the white Circle, I can imagine driving in Scotland with the rain, wind, traffic lights & all the colours of the city lights. Well done Fiona.

I agree with Michael, it has got that map like quality, love your colours and how they have merged into themselves.

I love receiving your feedback on the monoprints that I post, I see so much more in the depths and corners of them. Your comments spark even more ideas for me to work on for the next print. Thank you all very much for your input, you have given me much to think about.

You're really a fount of creativity, Fiona! I thought traffic lights too when I first saw it. Can't wait to see what you develop from this.

I'm seeing traffic lights too, Fiona - I agree with the other comments, thought provoking and rather lovely.

Really like how you have used abstract to create this excellent painting Fiona.

Many thanks Seok I enjoy reading your comments! Margaret thank you very much, glad you like it. Thanks very much Shaun, I must say I am enjoying the abstract quality of monoprints.

24”x16” monoprint on news print paper. A random and erratic compilation of street furniture....and don’t you find there is an awful lot of it these days. It isn’t something that has taken over were I live, the nearest we get to signage is cows crossing.......if you’re lucky. But it is very noticeable when, on the rare occasion, I go in to a town. It’s quite distracting.
