Let me be the first to welcome you back, Fiona! And such a wonderful "sketch". I love the way you have left the lower part of the trunk to be filled in by our mind's eye. And the blue of the sky, echoed in the grasses, is exactly right for this picture. Well done.

Lovely lively sketch Fiona, we actually had some sun today in Lancashire!

Super quick tree sketch, love your technique with this and he colours used

Hello again - long time, no see! Glad to see you back on the gallery. This is a beautifully understated piece of work which shows the bones of this tree to perfection. Super stuff.

Superb - a great sketch so well painted

Nice to see your wonderful trees again! the colours just work really well in this one.

Great sketch, up to your usual high standard

Lionel thank you for your lovely warm welcome, it's good to be back even if only with a sketch!! I hope I can make a habit of it........hope you are keeping well.

Thank you Stephen, did you paint that strange yellow ball in the sky? Many thanks Ros, Thea, Michael for you lovely comments.

Thank you for the push Gudrun, I needed it! Many thanks Glennis much appreciated.

Taking a leisurly stroll through the gallery and I have just spotted this. It was on page 9 at the time but well worth commenting on how this really stands out Fiona!

Good to have you back Fiona! A lovely, loose watercolour here, full of light. Hope to see more of you from now on!

Thank you very much Sarah and Satu for your welcome and kind comments. I hope I can be a little more consistent from now on. My apologies if I have missed commenting on your own work.

Hi Fiona, cheers for your great comment on my dog pastel portrait Gabby, glad you like the coat on it I did spend quite a bit of time on it because the pmp photo had bit more coat on view and it was such a super shot of little Gabby, I just had to get into painting her straight away, and the photographer loves it as well, which is really good, bye for now xx

Love the shapes and loose style and the palette, a very good study. I've got a few trees in my sketchbook done plein air, I may post them tonight if I can find them, and they are no better than yours! Alan. That's it for now, off to continue painting. Alan
