Terrific, the sun has just come out. Well done.

This is very warm and sunny, Fiona, beautiful colours. Again a beautiful scene and with a lovely, well painted tree in the foreground.

Very good Fiona, the tree shadows show the strength of the sun.

What a treat to see some sunshine - well done!

You have really catptured the sunshine in this one Fiona - so well painted.

Lovely. The sunny side of the street! Shame it's not down ours:-)

Love the sunshine Fiona - great painting

Thanks very much everyone for your kind and generous comments.

You've succeeded very well with the sunshine feeling, very bright and cheery. Lovely and sunny here today wouldn't think it was still only the middle of February.

Really lovely, Fiona - clear blue skies and the warm colours with the shadows all make this very spring like. Beautiful! You are really good at this style now, after all your trials and tribulations...

Thanks Val, I tried to make it a bit more cheerful than my latest few postings. Thanks Jane for your kind words, it's very encouraging.

Really wonderful depiction of sun on the trunk of the tree. The shadows are beautifully done and add to the whole feeling of light. Super work.

Just catching up Fiona, but would have recognised this as another really nice painting by yourself, and you have created a great feeling of sunlight in the picture, I like this one a lot, reminds me of the watercolourist painter Edward Wesson and the way he liked to depict trees etc. well done..

Thank you Thea, I'm glad I manged to get over a 'sunny-ish' feel to the scene. Looking at the righthand side hedge, I could have made it much darker I think. Thanks again.

Thank you very much for your comment Graham. Edward Wesson is my favourite artist, I love his work, and yes, I do model my tree's on his style. I try and work in his loose and simple way but it isn't simple when you try it......at least not to me it isn't!Lol.

Another truly super piece, Fiona! Love the brushwork and the light and shadows. You do make it look simple with such spectacular results, even though I know it isn't!

Thank you very much Seok.

I've started to look at all your works. Very natural, no restraiciton. Your brush stroke are vey smooth. Fantastic, Fiona.

Thank you Midori.

I wanted to inject a bit of 'sunshine' into this painting, as looking back at the last few, they are becoming a bit dull. I don't know if that's my choice of colours or just the way I apply those colours.
