P.S. The lemons are not windfalls by the way......just in case you recognise them!

Rough apples ??? Just make 'em into rough cider........yummy!

Like your combination of paints and especially your ink work, Fiona

energy shows - guess it is that time of year for you - but I'm glad you mentioned the lemons 'cos I was starting to think global warming was more advanced than I thought. ! At least you have got started which is more than I can claim. nice one , lively and clean

Glad to see you back Fiona and with a great start, maybe a pie next !!!

It's a lovely mixed media painting, Fiona. The loose style is delightfully sketchy and exceptionally attractive, AND the balance is great. Don't forget the colours; they're spot on. Bri PS I'd wondered where you'd gone but I've not been so active recently, either. B

That's a lovely pen and wash Fiona.

Caught the mood perfect Fiona

Good stuff and welcome back fiona.. It's nice to see your ' rough stuff'... 😁 lol.. Hasn't gone away... Usual high standards prevail...

I like this Fiona, nothing rough about your work! Love the shadow colours too.

This is a typical Fiona ,, Great stuff.....

Now there’s an idea Tony, a jar or two of scrumpy......thank you. Maureen thank you, I perhaps have been a little heavy handed with the purple. Lol.....Mike I can only claim that the apples and medlars are my windfalls.....I can’t resist painting lemons, so chucked a couple in, just to confuse you! Thank you. Sorry you unproductive at the moment, start with something small....a lemon perhaps?! Linda, thank you very much.....please, not another pie!!! Lol. Brian your comment almost makes me see it in a new light.....thank you, you are very generous. If I’m not in the mood to paint, there is no point pushing it I find, might as well enjoy other things until the mood returns.

Even my square Apple Marjorie...lol It was square, maybe not pointy though......many thanks for your comment. Thanks Dennis.....a little bit of oil pastel in this one, your influence. Alan, I can’t seem to shake off the rough stuff, looks like I’m stuck with it but I don’t mind really. Glad you like it too....thank you x Thanks Carole, you’re a gem.

Thanks very much Pete, you can spot one a mile off....lol Thank you very much John, appreciate your comments very much.

No hint of roughness Fiona! Just a wonderful, fresh, colourful painting! Lovely.

Nice to see a new painting Fiona. Love the colours in this - very much feeling of Autumn and harvest festival.

Nice to see you back Fiona (and thanks for your recent comment) - think this is great! lovely colours and lovely bold style.

Looks great Fiona , no I don't think lemons grow here but they could still be windfalls from wherever they do grow.

Always take pleasure from your sketches Fiona. Lovely fresh work.

Absolutely beautiful still life, Fiona! I love the "earthy" nature of the colours and the textures.

I am pleased to see you getting back into your art Fiona, it has been some time. Nobody can ever say your lines are boring, these are full of character - splendid still life all round.

Lively and fresh, always a pleasure to see your work, Fiona.

Lovely autumnal feel and colours Fiona, welcome back!

Love the natural forms of this Fiona. Glad you're able to get back into the saddle. Sometimes life just takes over and doesn't leave us enough time to indulge in the things we love to do.

Great millwork and colours Fiona.

Wib, thank you very much! Yes, it’s been a while Alan, hope I’m back for a time.....thank you for your comment. Lewis and Tessa, thank you both very much indeed. Carole, thank you....only another painter would understand the frustration! Thanks Richard!

Nice and crispy watercolour, like the shadows, and oil pastel touches, Fiona.Glad you are back . :)

12”x10” watercolour, Indian ink and oil pastel on Arches. Apologies to all for my lack of comments on the gallery of late, I’m back....hopefully. Picked up a brush for the first time yesterday for what feels like weeks, I would have said it’s a bit rough, but you probably wouldn’t notice the difference from my usual roughness...lol.
