Sorry about the need to bin, but maybe you'd said all you really wanted to in this free-flowing sketch? I like the way you've allowed the darker paint to bleed - I've no way of knowing, of course, but I wonder if you got a bit "careful" in your subsequent watercolours, and tried too hard? I know it can happen - almost all of us have done just that in our time.

A really nice sketch, simple but effective, like the colour and the clouds, almost forgot about this view of Suilven, might try a painting from that side myself sometime.

Thank you all very much for your kind and encouraging comments. I was in two minds whether to put it up, it was a very quick sketch. I would still like to do a painting from this, you're right in what you say Robert...I think I was trying too hard and being too careful with the painting.

I particularly like this type of immediate and spontaneous painting as they always have such life and vibrancy. This one has that life and energy in spades.
