Beautifully painted with a lovely softness to it.

Thanks everyone. Keith, it’s a bit of both - the plants grow by the living-room window so I painted that from life, but I also took reference photos to get the markings right on the sparrow.

There’s been a lot of sparrows on the wild marjoram (oregano) lately; presumably they like the taste of the new-forming seedheads! Nothing like a bit of seasoning….Watercolour on hot-pressed paper with my new Chinese calligraphy brushes that are delicious to use.
