Linnets at Middlehaven by Emma Price

There’s a flock of about 50 linnets this winter in a small patch of rough ground next to the Tees near the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough; they feed on the ground, picking up the fallen seeds from the wild mustard plants, so they’re quite tricky to see except when they briefly perch on the barbed wire.
