anniversary of the death of John Lennon.
This painting is to commemorate the death of John Lennon who was killed 31 years ago at the entrance of his apartment The Dakota Building New York, on the 8th, of December 1980. Obviously the painting is not in proportion it was simply an imaginative picture. I painted in "Imagine" near his face as it is one of his very moving song titles so I thought it was very appropriate at the time, although he wrote some great songs during his short lifetime. Also I have painted in the face of Marilyn Monroe who also suffered an untimely death in 1962, I painted in "Goodbye Norma Jean" which was the song written by Elton John, also a very moving song. oil on canvas size 18" x 15".
