Lovely colours and subject. Makes me want to be there. David

A beautiful painting.

Dear David and Sarah, Thank you for your comments on the painting of the Hebridean arch, The thing that caught my attention was the way the stonework had been eroded by the effects of wind and rain over many years it reminds one of gorgonzola cheese with all the holes and fissures in the stone. Originally there was an old rotting wooden door to the arch opening so I decided instead to paint one of my favourite scenes of the Hebrides with the two seated figures. the colour of the sea it could be in the west indies . Many Thanks for taking the time to comment. eaves.

A weather eroded gothic arch with two figures seated with a view of the beach and mountains of the outer Hebrides in the background.
