Dear Seok, Lesley andPetra, Many thanks for your observation of the painting I wanted the village to to project outward from the surrounding woodland so painted them a little darker to try and achieve that effect. eaves.

You have done a superb painting, colourful and well proportioned. Brings back lots of memories, never missed an episode. Dear Carole and David, Many thanks for comments on Portmeirion, It did take me considerable time to get the painting just right I had to paint some of the buildings out and set them in the correct position as you have to get it right or it just won't work, also David I will check out the the website about the prisoner. Portmeirion the Italianate village in Gwynedd North Wales was the location for the cult T V series of the prisoner in the 1960s starring Patrick Magoohan who was only referred to as a number I think he was number 6. I have made many visits to port Portmeirion over the years and always looked for the best position of which to paint a picture of it. I have been in contact with the owners of the village on several occasions requesting further information about certain aspects of the village and I have always had a very good response back from them. I took many photographs of Portmeirion before I decided on the right view to paint it, the size of the painting is 24"x24" on canvas with 2" wide edge so the painting carries on around the sides.
