Dear Petra, Many thanks for your comments about the painting of Venice, it is a great city to paint with it's interesting architecture and of course the canals with the many bridges, an artist could not ask for more so much to paint.

The Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute,Venice. The Basilica stands on a narrow finger of land between the Grand Canal and the Bacino di San Marco. The painting of this backwater is not a true location of Venice but the bridge and the other buildings along with the architecture are all authentic to the city, I just wanted to paint it as I imagined it to be. oil on canvas board, size 20" x 16".
