Love the idea and thought behind this Stevan , and the painting itself is very striking and well done.

Great work.

Thanks for the feedback Tessa and Emma. I'm glad you like it. Steve

Super - with Ingleborough, "the" tree and your treatment of the limestone.

Thanks Richard, much appreciated. Steve

Love your imaginative sense of design Stevan, as well as the way you run different effects and textures along side one another. A great collection of all elements. I think it puts your narrative over perfectly.

Thanks Gudrun and Fionna. As usual Fionna it's a pleasure to read your comments that always go beyond "well done" or "I like it" it's nice to get an opinion and commentary. Steve

I forgot to mention....I like it! Lots! Lol.

Lovely design element and colours, Stevan.

All the devices that I usual include in my pictures are included in this piece. I've tried to develop a scene that not only suggests the Yorkshire dales but also the erosion that happens as thousands of feet per year tread the well known routes. The picture is on mount board with a gesso base applied to develop a dendritic look. The paint is water colour but I've drawn in the cracking rocks with a graphite colour fine liner. The abstract image is pulled back to reality with the horizon and wind swept tree.
