A fine intimate little piece. I like the russet colours very much.

I'm surprised you haven't had more comments, but I think your postings have been "pushed back" down the line by an impolite poster adding many simultaneous images! This one works particularly well for me. I love the palette you've chosen - perfect for that type of setting in winter. I also like the composition, and the balance between hard & soft edges, which for me gives a lovely contrast between the soft & misty, and the crisper detail.

Great colours, composition and atmosphere!

Love the atmosphere of this one Stevan and the palette is spot on.

The colours, the sky the landscape, are all very appealing. A painting to be proud of Stevan!

Do like your work Stevan - skilled application of the medium.

I was recently having a lazy ten minutes on the internet and looking up articles on John Blockley. During a review of images of John Blockley I was staggered to come across my own painting, this painting. I was absolutely stunned but extremely gratified and a little proud that someone thought enough of my painting to add it to a chain related to the great man. Whoever the mister person is many thanks. This was painted after walking on the Pennine way above Skipton on a winters afternoon. The light was low which brought a warm glow to the setting.Wax candle was used to enable the wet look to the tracks.
