David, Tessa, Heather, Faye ,and Gala, thank you for you comments. Britain hold the larges amount of wild bluebell, surprising when you look at the size of the continental forests.

Lovely, Paul.

A lovely scene Paul.

Love the diagonals here Paul. They add so much interest, along with the two figures.

A lovely well painted composition Paul.

Thank you for your comments, Valerie, Denise, Andrew, Carole and Chris I appreciate them.

Really good painting Paul.

Beautiful bluebell wood, they are coming out now Paul, a lovely time of year.

Thank for your comment Carole , the woodlands look so different with a blue carpet.

A 23 x 32 cm watercolour of children running in and out the bluebell woods. The Chiltern woodlands are so blue with the flowers it looks quite unreal . When I was the paint rhyme the girls used to sing and play to when I was at school came to mind hence the title. Apparently a northern playground song , from the 1950/ 70 , how evocative painting can be I could see and hear them .
