It certainly is a busy scene, Paul and the boats with red sails are so characterful - good work!

Good colouring, a hint of Alan’s influence I see as well.

Thank you Anne and John for your kind comments, like Alan I have a passion for the old sailing barges and old buildings, we do share photos for reference and ideas etc.

Love this, the red sail makes a huge difference !!

oh yes, love his too, the size, the color and the way how you paint it!

Excellent piece of artwork.

Nice work, the Red Sail draws the eye

Lovely work Paul.

Very nicely done Paul, great imagination.

Many thanks for the lovely comments everyone.

Good one Paul.

I agree with Valerie, very good indeed

Martin, Andrew and Heather thank you for your kind comments.

Lots going on in this one Paul. I like the knocked back palette with the touch of colour, and well placed.

Thank you Fiona , I think brighter colours would not have worked .

Great sketching as always Paul. The wide format and restricted colour palette work very well.

Thank you Sandra, I appreciate your comment.

Really well painted Paul you have been growing in confidence and it’s showing in your work. Top class!👌🙏

Thank you William, I appreciate your comment.

Imaginary scene set on the river Thames it the 1930s , pen and wash using dip pen and ink. I did all the ink work then added the wash but limited the colours to four red, indigo ,yellow ochre and light blue. Posted the original sketch without colour in the Daily Sketching thread on the forum .
