Early morning canal side

Comments

The sky and overall lightness of tone suggests perfectly the early morning Paul. The smoke coming from the stack hints at it being a chilly morning too…….like the addition of the pylons in the far distance giving an idea of scale and depth.

Like that a lot, Paul - especially the colours you have used.

Lovely painting

I like the overall hue of this, it works very well.

Lovely, with a good sense of distance, Paul. I'm imagining them having breakfast then off on the next leg of their journey!

Certainly early morning Paul, good colours and like the smoke coming from the barge / narrow boat.

Thank you for your comment Anne .

Thank you Richard for you kind comment .

That’s great Paul. Your use of colour suggests accurately the time of day and the way in which you have used silhouettes for the animals adds to the depth of the painting. Super. Well done!

Another beautiful painting Dixie

A4 watercolour, barge canal side in the early morning mist. I’m finding it difficult to concentrate at the moment so decided to just let this develop and happen . It was relaxing to do, no pressure it’s the first painting I have completed in a week or so , started a few and either binned them or put aside.
