That is truly marvellous,Diana. The detail is absolutely superb and I feel I can almost touch that water. Your painting technique is quite remarkable.

Lovely picture, very well painted 😊

Very impressive, Diana.

Super painting Diana. The rocks are great.

David, your comments are so motivating to me. Thank you very much. Thanks Stephen. A Cove I’ve painted a few times but can’t actually get down to. Thanks Mia. I’ve learned a big lesson on the use of Brusho on a watercolour painting. Thank you Tessa. The rocks are a delight to draw.

It works really well, Diana- loose and fresh looking - your experimentation worked. Your experimentation worked well, Diana - so loose and fresh looking.

A great painting. The water looks so inviting but cold!

I love this Diana, its so evocative and beautifully painted. Have never heard of Brusho - will investigate!

A terrific painting indeed.

Super watercolour Diana

Lovely; I really like this Diana.

I like the structure and strata within this painting. Superb detail!

This is lovely and what a great salvage!

I’m glad you think so Maureen. The dark is very dense though. Thank you Fiona. My husband is an all year cold water swimmer 🥶 Thanks Sarah. Brusho is tiny granules of incredibly intense water colour. It’s fun to use but gets everywhere!! Thanks Fiona. I learned that Brusho needs to be used very sparingly! Thanks Chris. I’m pleased you like it. Thank you David. I paint this beach regularly though can’t get down to it. I use my husbands photographs. Thank you Karen. I appreciate your interest. Thanks Spencer. The cliffs around the furthest south east Cornwall are a joy to draw. Thank you coral. I really appreciate your thoughts. Thanks Heather. I really was rather pleased that it’s not in the bin. So close!

Thank you Georgina. It’s an amazingly beautiful place.

Excellent !!!

Hi Diana, I thought I’d commented on this before, but it just popped up on the selection ribbon and I realised I hadn’t . Just wanted to say I think this is a fabulous painting - both rocks and water are beautifully captured.

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment. Much appreciated

I hadn’t set out to use Brusho in this watercolour but mid paint , I thought I could get the intensity and splattered look of the seaweed using it. Unfortunately, it bled wildly and the colour was too solid. After a bit of work , I salvaged it from near death!! Fine liner, watercolour/ Brusho on Saunders Waterford heavy CP paper. 14 x12’’
