This is wonderful Diana, a smashing painting with amazing foreground. Wonderful colous and brushstrokes.

Beautifully painted Diana. Lovely texture as well.

So attractive Diana, caught my eye instantly, I love the textures and the colours against the sea.

Super painting Diana, the foreground is beautiful.

DIANA this so reminds me of the view on Ventnor downs I love it !!

Lovely painting, Diana. It really draws me in. Love your story too. it inspires me as someone who started painting a year ago after a 30 year gap( stopped painting after my O'level).

Thank you Cesare. I really struggled with this one. I do like the freedom to be bold and sweeping when working on this scale Thank you Henry I got rather lost in all that foliage Thank you Carole. I'm glad it's finished as it was difficult. Thank you for your support Dennis. Appreciated as usual. Thank you Margaret and Linda. I can't decide if I like it or it's a vibrant mess! Hello Dawn and thank you. I really hope you enjoy picking up after a huge gap as much as I do. Make up for lost time

Thank you Gudrun. I certainly needed energy to clear up the mess!!! Paint all over the carpet and up the walls.

Just love the energetic strokes and brush work in the foreground Diana.

Just catching up on the gallery. Lovely colours and textures in this, Diana. I'd love to try acrylics, they seem to offer more opportunity for expressive marks than watercolour, with the benefit of being able to change areas as you progress, but I don't have anywhere suitable for getting messy!

Thank you Fiona. Energetic is certainly a way to describe the frantic scratching and daubing!! Back to watercolours now and like putting on an old pair of slippers! Hello and thanks Jenny. It's good to be able to paint whites on top of colour and paint in a much more impressionistic style( if painting on a large scale) However, the mess I made was incredible!!

Last of the large canvasses. I was asked to paint this predominantly cliff plants scene. I can clear up the mess and get back to watercolour for a while.
