Makings of a terrific painting material there Denis. Looks great even as a sketch...

A lovely sketch Denis and a lovely memory

A wonderful sketch Denis, brought back memories of holidays, I've had a few lunches in the Ship.

I love my sketch books and as you say the memories that are evoked are wonderful. This sketch is a bit special.

Super sketch Denis, I visited Mousehole a few years ago but only took a few photos, intended to paint from them but never did, not the same is It?

Superb sketch. I know the place well and you've captured the feel of the place perfectly. I love the story and I love your sketch books

Such a good sketch Denis :)

I just love Mousehole! This sketch went into my book in May 2002. I remember it being a beautiful sunny day and as I drew, a little lad who was skimming around on his scooter kept stopping to see what I had done - his name was Sam. I finished and stopped to have lunch in the pub, actually it was the Ship Inn which features in the sketch. Whilst I quaff d my pint and ate my sandwich, I was approached by a couple who asked if they could see drawing. I didn't know them from Adambut it turned out to be Sam's parents. He'd told them that it was 'good' and they just wanted to check. Do you find like me, that all kinds of memories are triggered when you glance through your sketchbooks?
