What a success story behind this lovely painting, well done David

Full of sunshine.

An interesting story, David - well done. It's a beautiful painting - bright and fresh!

Fantastic news David, a great painting too.

Fabulous painting, David and a nice composition.

Thank you all for those much appreciated comments.

Great story, great painting, David

Superb watercolour David. And an unusual request that must be very satisfying for you.

Super watercolour David.

Beautifully painting and it’s great that your photo can be used to hopefully rebuild .

Lovely feeling of light here David, those dark shadows across the road really stand out. A Huddersfield artist I like, Paul Talbot Greaves, uses light to good effect in his lovely paintings of the Pennines region. I think you would like his work online.

Many thanks to you all, your encouraging comments are a bonus. Stephen, I've been on one of Paul's Yorkshire painting weekends and have booked him for art group demos several times. A brilliant artist and a really genuine guy, I just wish I had his mastery of dry stone walls.

How lovely to have a story to the painting. And a lovely painting it is! A perfect pure watercolour, and good perspective attained with all the features. I think the stone walls are actually very good.

Thank you Christine and Ann, for taking the time to comment. Glad you like it.

Super painting David, good contrast and colouring and distance works well

Thank you, David, much appreciated.

A lady saw my painting on the internet and contacted me this week to ask if I had a reference photo of the same view. They have been refused planning permission for renovating the old barn and my picture apparently supports their case by showing a critical feature which existed when I took my photos in 2013. I’ve sent them my photos and find it really satisfying when a painting serves an unexpected purpose.
