Lovely watercolour David with clear washes. Looks like a sunny day with good tones and a very nice composition.

Thank you both for your encouragement. This is more detailed than my normal style but I was experimenting with W&N Green Gold which I have just added to my palette. I never used a tube green before, preferring to mix my own, but this gives a really wide range of natural greens, mixed with appropriate yellows, siennas and blues. It's in almost everything, from the grass to the stone.

This imposing property sits on the edge of Mellor Moor with a panoramic view over Marple to New Mills. Rather than just a "buildings portrait" I wanted to capture the feeling of being high and on an Edge.
