It's lovely and clearly a very good memory

It’s a fabulous piece David , sad is the day when we can’t venture out to paint , but it opens new possibilities and you have made a great start with this one . It’s certainly with looking at some of your other sketches to develop further.

Excellent picture David.

I’m in the same situation David, don’t give up! Cracking fresh looking watercolour from you here…

It's beautiful David.

Thank you all for those supportive comments. I still enjoy painting outdoors, stood at the easel but my arthritic wrist prevents me doing the sweeps and flicks of the brush I love, so the results aren't great. Painting these smaller, more controlled sketches works better, even though my fingers don't always co-operate.

I agree with above, a smasher with the watercolour David.

A great idea you have come up with there David. What a wonderful breath of life and interest the watercolour has added to you ink work. Love the subject and composition.

Thank you, Carole, Valerie and Fiona, for taking the time to comment so positively.
